Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage commercial banking portfolios in the investment real estate segment for companies with portfolios ranging from $25 million to $2 billion
  • Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans
  • Identify process-improvement opportunities within assigned responsibilities or functional areas
  • Review operational assignments requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
  • Exercise independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations
  • Develop expertise in relevant functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, and internal and external customers
  • Evaluate credit risk across traditional and complex financing arrangements
  • Apply market dynamics, financial analysis, and risk-management principles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of experience underwriting Investor Real Estate clients
  • Strong Investor Real Estate lending credit analysis skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with commercial, owner-occupied real estate lending, including documentation, due diligence, and regulatory compliance processes
  • Credit underwriting experience including Commercial Middle Market/Mid-Corp credit or specialty group relationship portfolio credit
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform in-depth commercial financial statement analysis and projection modeling
  • Strong risk management and compliance skills
  • Ability to understand and review loan documentation
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and independent problem-solving ability
  • Experience/ability working in a high-paced environment, with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; experience communicating effectively with internal partners in person and remotely
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position does not support Visa Sponsorship
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule
  • Must comply with applicable outside-activities and personal-investing policies if hired
