About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute a market-driven growth strategy focused on acquiring and expanding relationships with Emerging Middle Market companies throughout New Jersey
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with CEOs, CFOs, business owners, private equity sponsors, and other key decisionmakers
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, referral networks, centers of influence, industry associations, and community engagement
- Structure and deliver commercial banking solutions including cash flow lending, treasury management, commercial real estate financing, and other strategic banking products
- Lead relationship planning efforts and coordinate internal partners to deliver comprehensive client solutions
- Leverage Wells Fargo’s full capabilities to help clients achieve growth, capital, and operational objectives
- Maintain strong pipeline management and sales discipline to drive consistent business development activity and revenue growth
- Provide market insight and client intelligence to support strategic initiatives across the Commercial Bank
- Represent Wells Fargo throughout the New Jersey business community and serve as a visible ambassador of the franchise
- Execute applicable credit, market, financial crimes, operational, regulatory compliance, and other risk programs and obligations
- Follow Wells Fargo policies and procedures, escalate and remediate issues, and make sound risk decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Proven success developing and growing commercial banking relationships with companies generating $25 million to $100 million in annual revenue
- Demonstrated success building a commercial banking presence within a highly competitive market through proactive business development and relationship acquisition
- Strong understanding of the New Jersey emerging middle market landscape, including key industries, competitive dynamics, and regional business communities
- Established network of business owners, private equity professionals, attorneys, accountants, and other influential centers of influence throughout New Jersey
- Strong understanding of commercial lending, treasury management, and broader commercial banking solutions
- Ability to structure and discuss complex financing solutions with executive leadership teams
- Strong business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Experience partnering across product, credit, and risk organizations to deliver sophisticated client solutions
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Ability to travel within assigned territory as needed
