About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, test, enhance, and support Java-based applications, services, APIs, and data-driven solutions for CIB Operations
  • Partner with product owners, business partners, technology leads, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technology solutions
  • Work across multiple technologies, tools, and platforms while developing engineering skills
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver features in iterative sprints
  • Support application modernization, automation, cloud adoption, and technology transformation initiatives
  • Contribute to software build, testing, deployment, and release activities using automation tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot, debug, perform root cause analysis, and provide production support
  • Create, maintain, and support reports, dashboards, data integrations, and operational data solutions
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple locations and time zones
  • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving to resolve technical challenges
  • Use approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, and productivity
  • Communicate technical concepts, project updates, risks, and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Own assigned features, user stories, and development tasks
  • Identify opportunities to improve application quality, automation, operational processes, and engineering effectiveness
  • Participate in technical training, professional development, team activities, and knowledge sharing
  • Follow engineering, security, risk, compliance, and change-management standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 6+ months of experience developing, testing, and supporting backend applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
  • 6+ months of experience developing automation, integration, or data-processing solutions using Python
  • 6+ months of experience developing and supporting data-driven applications using SQL and relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar enterprise database technologies
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, debugging techniques, software testing methodologies, source control concepts, and SDLC practices
  • Ability to collaborate using Git, GitHub, or comparable source-control and collaborative development platforms
  • Experience with automated build, deployment, and release workflows and modern DevOps practices, including GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, Liquibase, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering tools; GitHub Copilot preferred, with Claude Code, Devin, or similar tools a plus
  • Capability to analyze, visualize, and communicate data using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts, cloud adoption, cloud migration, application modernization, or data center migration
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest in the full technology lifecycle, including application development, production support, operational stability, and continuous improvement
  • Financial services, capital markets, banking operations, regulatory reporting, or related industry exposure is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data science, or a related technical field preferred but not required
  • Ability to begin employment by October 26, 2026
  • Ability to work from the designated posted office location and meet the current hybrid work schedule, including regular in-office attendance
  • Participation in the two-year CODE Program
