About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a team of credit underwriters reviewing commercial credit transactions up to $1 million
Exercise delegated credit approval authority
Interface with senior credit management, sales management, third-party program partners, and internal stakeholders
Supervise underwriting decisions across a range of loan and lease products
Ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance within Equipment Finance Underwriting
Identify process improvement and productivity enhancement opportunities
Make supervisory and tactical decisions regarding team supervision, work allocation, and daily operations
Collaborate with underwriting peers and colleagues on routine operational activities
Manage people and financial resource allocation
Mentor and guide direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Support risk monitoring, governance, identification, escalation, remediation, and compliance obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of Equipment Finance Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
1+ years of Leadership experience
Experience in Equipment and Vendor Finance
Experience with Credit and Risk Analysis
Strong Relationship Management
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt quickly
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Energetic, quick learner, positive attitude, self-motivated
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
