About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex technology initiatives and companywide programs with broad organizational impact
  • Develop engineering standards, architectural patterns, and companywide best practices for building management and operational technology solutions
  • Design, evaluate, and resolve complex enterprise challenges with scalable, secure, and resilient solutions
  • Perform hands-on engineering, including designing, configuring, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting solutions
  • Design and configure BMS systems, RESTful APIs, and services for secure integrations across enterprise, SaaS, endpoint, and external partner platforms
  • Engineer and support network connectivity, integration services, data movement, transformations, and reliable delivery patterns
  • Review and analyze BMS technology solutions against architecture, integration, resiliency, security, and operational requirements
  • Implement solutions aligned with enterprise cybersecurity requirements and operational technology security standards
  • Assess and recommend emerging technologies, products, and automation solutions
  • Drive resiliency, observability, monitoring, and operational support practices
  • Support product lifecycle planning, upgrades, firmware management, vulnerability remediation, and modernization initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership across Niagara, Desigo, EcoStruxure, Lutron, and related building management platforms
  • Lead projects, technical workstreams, product ownership activities, design reviews, device and firmware evaluations, and engineer mentoring
  • Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert to leadership, architects, engineers, system administrators, vendors, and business partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 3+ years of hands-on BMS (Building Management Systems) technology experience
  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience (desired)
  • 3+ years of experience designing and engineering enterprise-class BMS environments (desired)
  • 3+ years of experience designing and engineering cloud solutions for BMS endpoint management (desired)
  • 5+ years of BMS end-to-end architecture experience with wired protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP, and wireless protocols such as LoRaWAN and Zigbee (desired)
  • 5+ years of experience with BMS device inventory, discovery, vulnerability management and remediation, and troubleshooting network issues across geographically distributed and separated network architectures (desired)
  • 5+ years of hands-on configuration experience with BMS systems and data integration solutions, including asynchronous, synchronous, real-time streaming, messaging, event-based, and REST APIs (desired)
  • 4+ years of experience across heterogeneous systems and device landscapes, with security patterns and product evaluation/advisory experience (desired)
  • 3+ years of experience with Niagara Webservice Application and enterprise-level Niagara implementations, JACE, and third-party controllers (desired)
  • Experience with system and platform integrations, service-to-service communication, enterprise integration patterns, microservices architectures, and API-first design
  • Ability to work effectively in hybrid and virtual environments across time zones and locations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills using PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on-site under the hybrid onsite expectation
