Key responsibilities & impact

Lead operational readiness activities for Payments Operations teams
Coordinate production parallel testing events
Support operational procedure and job aid development
Assess process and control impacts and validate business readiness
Define, refine, and prioritize the team backlog aligned with Program PI objectives
Write features for the development team to decompose into user stories
Define acceptance criteria and provide business context
Scope iteration goals and balance capacity against commitment
Manage the Jira backlog and ensure Jira hygiene
Identify opportunities to leverage capabilities across value streams
Lead support functions or operations for multiple business groups
Contribute to large-scale strategic initiatives
Ensure efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness, and pipeline management for assigned operations
Research business, operational, and strategic initiatives and make recommendations
Assist in planning and executing programs and initiatives involving risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience
Manage relationships and implement programs, services, and initiatives with cross-functional business partners
Lead operational requirements through stakeholder elicitation, black-box testing collaboration, data analysis, and problem definition
Collaborate with Dev Team partners to refine requirements and translate them into user stories
Identify cross-impacts and interdependencies with Value Stream Leads and Capability Product Managers
Act as proxy for customers and business stakeholders within the team
Ensure deliverables support capability, product, or value stream outcomes
Drive innovative, simplified solutions that improve operational effectiveness and business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment
3+ years of payments, wires or operations experience preferred
Experience acting as a product owner and/or providing production support
Experience writing stories in Jira and working with Scrum teams
Knowledge of high-value real-time gross settlement (RTGS) payment systems, including Fedwire and CHIPS
Knowledge of the SWIFT network and ISO 20022 payment messaging standards
Expertise in payment message types such as pacs.008, pacs.009, and pacs.004
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
Experience leading large-scale complex and strategic initiatives from inception to implementation
Knowledge of complex IT environments, cross-functional areas, interfaces, and data sources
Understanding of agile/product metrics and instrumentation
Experience managing product backlogs and aligning stakeholders on prioritization tradeoffs
Knowledge and understanding of operational processes and operational risk management
Ability to work across organizational levels and in a team environment
Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
Ability to translate complex operational, technology, and risk-related issues into concise executive summaries
Ability to work across time zones and support production testing, releases, and deployments during evenings, weekends, or other critical windows as needed
Must reside within a reasonable commute to a listed location
