About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and participate in the development of standardized Internet network solutions
Lead the review, resolution, and implementation of complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale network applications, data systems, voice, and other technical products and services
Use and create diagnostic, simulation, and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot, and restore service or data to systems
Evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard procedures, or perform limited programming to fine-tune supported systems
Research performance trends and recommend process improvements
Perform complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations, and configurations
Make decisions regarding security and regulatory policies to design and implement secured network solutions
Assess changes for production risk and ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met
Identify gaps in technology processes and recommend changes to support Service Level Agreements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Develop standardized Internet network architectures and designs
Perform network automation to build, provision, operate, and maintain engineered network solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
5+ years of combined Network Engineering with automation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
5+ years of experience configuring routing and switching platforms and solutions from Cisco and Arista
5+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) in a large enterprise environment
3+ years of experience with Ansible, Go, JINJA, Python, REST, JSON, and YAML
3+ years of experience with network management, automation, and orchestration tools, such as Ansible
Demonstrated experience developing and testing standardized Internet network and security solutions
Demonstrated expertise in BGP, IPSEC, VPN, PKI, and related technologies
Relevant certifications from Cisco, Arista, and cloud service providers
Demonstrated experience with Agile and related tools like JIRA
Familiarity with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, GIT, Jenkins, Cisco DCNM, and Arista CVP
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
Experience developing and managing automated testing
Demonstrated skill developing and maintaining technical standards
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivated continuous learner
