Lead complex technology initiatives, including companywide initiatives with broad impact
Develop standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex, large-scale technology solutions
Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives
Make decisions on engineering and technology solutions while influencing technology teams to meet deliverables and drive initiatives
Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
Partner with product and program leadership to align technology implementation and delivery with business goals and timelines
Lead improvements for platform stability and performance by addressing technical debt and enhancing operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance cloud-native solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
5+ years of experience in Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, Python, Scala, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture
1+ years of hands-on experience with AI-powered developer tools, including GitHub Copilot and Devin
Ability to work in a hybrid environment
Ability to work additional hours as needed

Desired: 5+ years of experience with Angular 16, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX
Desired: 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments
Desired: Strong knowledge of JUnit/TestNG, Selenium frameworks and test automation
Desired: Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform services
Desired: Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
Desired: Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube
Desired: Knowledge of Ansible, Shell Scripting, F5, AVI, and infrastructure automation
Desired: Experience deploying applications on Tomcat, JBoss, and WebSphere
Desired: Strong understanding of MVC architecture, J2EE design patterns, and enterprise application design
