Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex technology initiatives, including companywide initiatives with broad impact
  • Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices for complex, large-scale technology solutions
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions against business objectives, enterprise technology environments, and technical challenges
  • Make decisions on engineering and technology solutions and influence technology teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
  • Lead projects and teams or serve as a peer mentor
  • Lead teams while partnering with global stakeholders across multiple time zones
  • Drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Use GitHub Actions and version control systems to manage code and deployments
  • Work with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 5+ years of J2EE development experience
  • 5+ years of Microservices experience with RestAPIs
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide information technology solutions
  • 2+ years of experience with distributed streaming and event-driven architectures, using technologies such as Kafka or similar real-time data processing frameworks
  • Experience with Cloud and Container technologies: AKS, Azure, OCP, or Kubernetes
  • Experience setting up and using observability/monitoring tools including Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, Kafka, Big Panda, or Splunk
  • Engineering and development experience with middleware messaging platforms including Kafka
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automation tools including GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, and Git
  • Experience with GenAI technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and agentic AI solutions
  • Experience with Agile Scrum
  • Knowledge of MongoDB and SQL/NoSQL databases
  • BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite at a listed location
  • Not eligible for visa sponsorship or visa transfer
