About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing application features
- Develop on the ServiceNow platform using configuration and scripting
- Collaborate with lead engineers and architects to define coding standards, processes, tooling, and frameworks
- Design, code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with standards and best practices
- Ensure the product backlog contains appropriate technical stories and participate in prioritization
- Own application solution quality from design and implementation through deployment and operation
- Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders on feature delivery
- Maintain technical understanding of third-party and cloud solutions
- Evaluate technical impacts and coordinate implementation of new product releases
- Participate in sizing and estimation activities within the agile team
- Communicate daily with the Scrum Master or Technical Product Owner and agile team regarding progress, plans, and blockers
- Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives
- Support continuous improvement and receive feedback for self-improvement
- Ensure feature quality through manual and automated testing and continuous integration techniques
- Collaborate with business analysts to clarify requirements and define technically deliverable solutions
- Educate and guide less-experienced staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 5+ years of ServiceNow experience in building, implementing, and maintaining platform technologies, workflows and integrations
- 3+ years of JavaScript development experience in ServiceNow
- 2+ years of API experience
- 2+ years of Agile experience
- 2+ years educating/mentoring less-experienced staff experience
- ServiceNow certifications CSA & CAD
- 1+ year of Agentic AI experience
- Advanced oral, written and presentation communications, including presenting technical information to non-technical audiences
- Advanced problem-solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
- Experience maintaining sustainable, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders and product partners
- Experience within financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industries
- Must be able to work on-site at the listed location
