About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support across branch locations within a specific geography when a banker or teller is absent or to temporarily cover vacancies
  • Adapt to changing priorities and new surroundings while meeting customer needs
  • Build customer relationships through proactive outreach and propose appropriate products, services, and digital solutions
  • Assist customers with opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures
  • Develop understanding of bank products and services and connect them to customer needs
  • Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships
  • Provide appropriate options for bank products and services
  • Refer customers’ financial needs to other bankers and partners
  • Maintain cash drawer, handle and balance cash, and complete service-related tasks
  • Follow Wells Fargo risk, compliance, monitoring, escalation, and remediation requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems
  • Experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email
  • Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of mobile banking options
  • Ability to help customers succeed financially by offering introductions to additional team members as appropriate
  • Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs
  • Experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal partners
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members
  • Relevant military experience in military protocol, evaluations, leadership reporting, personnel benefits management, military orders or transitions, wartime readiness, human resources, or military recruiting
  • Proficiency in sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Ability to meet SAFE registration and Loan Originator qualification requirements at employment
  • Must meet financial responsibility, character, financial fitness, criminal background, screening, and ongoing regulatory requirements
