About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise leadership on applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs
- Lead strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges across multiple areas or the enterprise
- Deliver long-term, large-scale solutions requiring vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking
- Translate advanced technology experience and business objectives into technical engineering solutions
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on innovative business solutions
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide competitive advantage
- Strategically engage professionals and managers across the enterprise
- Serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and solve complex business challenges within the Investment Solutions team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 7+ years experience in Spring Boot (Java ecosystem) or ASP.NET Core (.Net)
- 5+ years experience in React or Angular
- 3+ years experience providing vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- 2+ years of MongoDB or other No SQL database
- 1 year experience with AI Assisted Development (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude, etc)
- Ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence technical decisions
- Strong collaboration skills with product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in geographically distributed and cross-functional Agile teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and engineering practices
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to reliability, stability, security, and operational excellence
