About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead complex cloud modernization and platform engineering initiatives from strategy through execution
Provide expertise in public cloud, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation across the EFT portfolio
Drive modernization, innovation, and operational excellence with AI-enabled and agentic solutions
Guide cloud adoption through architecture advice, reusable solution patterns, cross-functional process alignment, and automation strategy
Enable scalable delivery through technical leadership and practical execution
Decompose complex features into actionable stories for contractors and junior team members
Mentor contractors and junior team members
Design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure
Develop tools, training, documentation, and best practices for cloud-native application development, deployment, and operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
5+ years of experience integrating container and cloud workflows with CICD
3+ years of platform engineering experience on GCP, Azure, or AWS
3+ years of experience designing, coding, and supporting cloud infrastructure with Terraform
3+ years of experience designing and coding Ansible roles
1+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting scale applications on Kubernetes
1+ years of experience with Podman/Docker, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, and/or GKS
1+ years of experience with VM Linux and Windows virtualization
Experience with observability and monitoring platforms and SRE practices
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, context engineering, MLOps, and LLMOps frameworks
Experience designing APIs, including data contracts, authentication/authorization, and error handling
Familiarity with vulnerability management, remediation, patch management, SSL certificates, PKI, compliance processes, and related tools
Financial services industry experience
Proven ability to influence and build trust across organizational boundaries
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to identify manual processes and implement automation solutions
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (desired)
Certification(s) in Cloud Computing, Platform Engineering, or another relevant area (desired)
Position must be located in a listed location on the job requisition
Minimum 3 days/week in office requirement
