About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage a portfolio of sophisticated Mid-Corporate clients
- Serve as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives and key decision makers
- Lead complex commercial banking relationships by delivering customized credit, treasury, capital markets, risk management, and advisory solutions
- Drive business development by leveraging an established professional network to acquire new relationships and expand market share across the Northeast region
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Specialized Industries
- Structure and lead complex cash flow and real estate lending opportunities
- Identify broader relationship opportunities across the enterprise
- Develop strategic relationship plans, sales strategies, and growth initiatives
- Represent Wells Fargo at industry events, community organizations, and professional associations
- Mentor and influence colleagues across the Commercial Bank
- Maintain risk discipline and governance while balancing client needs, business objectives, and regulatory requirements
- Execute sales, revenue, relationship growth, and portfolio management objectives while focusing on credit quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of Mid-Corporate Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Extensive knowledge of commercial banking products and services, including commercial lending, treasury management, capital markets, foreign exchange, and interest rate risk management
- Experience managing relationships with companies generating between $500MM and $2B in annual revenue
- Established network of business owners, executives, private equity sponsors, attorneys, accountants, and centers of influence throughout the Northeast market
- Strong business development track record and ability to create new client acquisition opportunities through existing networks and referrals
- Completion of formal credit training
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and 79 examinations, or ability to obtain licensing as required
- Exceptional executive presence and consultative selling skills
- Demonstrated ability to build influence across large, matrixed organizations
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risk while delivering strong client outcomes
- Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Required FINRA license(s), state registration, specific product licenses, or SAFE licensing as applicable
- Must meet enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
- FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses, or equivalent, must be completed within 180 days of hire if not immediately available to transfer
- Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory
- Must successfully complete and clear FINRA background screening and meet ongoing regulatory requirements
- SIE exam co-requisite may be required for specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018
