About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively acquire, manage, and grow a portfolio of consumer and business customer relationships
- Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
- Strengthen relationships, increase retention, and drive balanced growth across deposits, lending, and investments
- Coordinate warm introductions with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking partners
- Set clear expectations and take ownership of converting qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
- Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options to promote digital adoption
- Resolve account inquiries and service requests within authorized limits
- Document actions and set follow-up plans
- Demonstrate risk excellence through accurate documentation, sound judgment, timely issue escalation, and adherence to policies and regulations
- Support customers with everyday banking activities, including opening accounts and handling service requests
- Serve as the primary point of contact for everyday banking needs through appointments, lobby engagement, and proactive outreach
- Partner with branch colleagues to meet customer needs through appropriate referrals
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 1+ year of assessing and meeting the needs of customers or helping with issue resolution
- 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
- Ability to work a schedule that will include most Saturdays
- FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) and State Insurance license(s), active or completed within a designated timeframe
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam required for FINRA qualification exams earned after Sept. 30, 2018
- FINRA Series 65 (or equivalent) required within a specified period for certain listed states
- Required FINRA licenses must be obtained and maintained for continued employment
- Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies
- Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
- Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Desired: ability to source, acquire, and deepen customer relationships through proactive outreach
- Desired: knowledge of book of business management, planning-conversation documentation, and follow-through
- Desired: experience assessing needs and recommending products and services for consumer and business customers
- Desired: ability to educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options
- Desired: clear and confident communication, empathetic listening, credibility, and trust-building
- Desired: 1+ year of financial services experience
- Desired: completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or recognized equivalents sufficient for immediate FINRA registration
- Desired: State Insurance license(s)
