About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire, manage, and grow a portfolio of consumer and business customer relationships
  • Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
  • Drive retention and balanced growth across deposits, lending, and investments
  • Coordinate warm introductions and partner with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking
  • Set expectations and take ownership of converting qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
  • Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking to champion digital adoption
  • Resolve account inquiries and service requests within authorized limits
  • Document actions and set follow-up plans
  • Demonstrate risk excellence through accurate documentation, sound judgment, timely escalation, and policy/regulatory adherence
  • Transition from the temporary Relationship Banker LP role to Relationship Banker (SAFE) after licensing and SAFE requirements are completed
  • Work collaboratively in a branch environment and make appropriate referrals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Proven ability to source, acquire, and deepen relationships through proactive outreach and internal partnerships
  • Knowledge of book of business management, planning-conversation documentation, and follow-through
  • Experience assessing needs and recommending products and services for consumer and business customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, listen with empathy, and build credibility and trust
  • 1+ year of financial services experience is desired
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or recognized equivalents sufficient for immediate FINRA registration are desired
  • State Insurance license(s) are desired
  • FINRA Series 6, Series 63 or recognized equivalents and State Insurance license(s) must be active or completed within a designated timeframe
  • SIE exam required for FINRA qualifications earned after September 30, 2018
  • FINRA Series 65 or equivalent required within a specified period for New Mexico and listed states
  • Required FINRA licenses must be obtained and maintained for continued employment
  • Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes most Saturdays
  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
