About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire, manage, and grow a portfolio of consumer and business customer relationships
- Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
- Drive retention and balanced growth across deposits, lending, and investments
- Coordinate warm introductions with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking partners
- Set expectations and take ownership of converting qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
- Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options to champion digital adoption
- Resolve account inquiries and service requests within authorized limits
- Document actions and establish follow-up plans
- Demonstrate risk excellence through accurate documentation, sound judgment, timely escalation, and adherence to policies and regulations
- Work collaboratively in a branch environment to meet customer needs through appropriate referrals
- Transition from the temporary Relationship Banker LP role to Relationship Banker (SAFE) after licensing and SAFE requirements are completed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
- 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
- Ability to work a schedule that will include most Saturdays
- FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or FINRA-recognized equivalents, active or completed within a designated timeframe
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam required for FINRA qualification exams earned after September 30, 2018
- State Insurance license(s), active or completed within a designated timeframe
- FINRA Series 65 or equivalent required within a specified period for listed states
- Required FINRA licenses must be obtained and maintained for continued employment
- Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies
- Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
- Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Desired: proactive relationship sourcing and acquisition ability
- Desired: book of business management, planning-conversation documentation, and follow-through knowledge
- Desired: experience recommending products and services to consumer and business customers
- Desired: clear and confident communication, empathetic listening, credibility, and trust-building
- Desired: 1+ year of financial services experience
- Desired: successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or recognized equivalents sufficient for immediate FINRA registration
