About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire, manage, and grow a portfolio of consumer and business customer relationships
  • Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
  • Drive balanced growth across deposits, lending, and investments
  • Coordinate warm introductions with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking partners
  • Convert qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
  • Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options
  • Resolve account inquiries and service requests within authorized limits
  • Document actions and set follow-up plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation, exercise sound judgment, escalate issues, and adhere to policies and regulations
  • Support customers with account opening, everyday banking activities, and appropriate referrals
  • Transition from the temporary Relationship Banker LP role to Relationship Banker (SAFE) after licensing and SAFE requirements are completed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Proven ability to source, acquire, and deepen relationships through proactive outreach
  • Knowledge of book of business management, planning conversation documentation, and follow-through
  • Experience assessing needs and recommending products and services for consumer and business customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, listen with empathy, and build credibility and trust
  • 1+ year of financial services experience in consumer, home lending, business banking, or investments
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or recognized equivalents sufficient for immediate FINRA registration
  • State Insurance license(s)
  • FINRA Series 65 or equivalent examination required within a specified period for Texas and listed states
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam required for FINRA qualifications earned after September 30, 2018
  • Required FINRA licenses must be obtained and maintained for continued employment
  • SAFE registration required at employment
  • Must meet enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Ability to work a schedule including most Saturdays
