About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead moderately complex profit and loss initiatives related to business product and customer performance, marketing outcomes, or operational efficiency
- Own initiatives end-to-end through ideation, design, execution, and measurement
- Develop business cases evaluating product variables, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes across marketing acquisition, credit risk, and product strategy
- Identify and design solutions to ambiguous business problems using data modeling, product insights, and hypothesis-driven approaches
- Build economic models and test plans incorporating revenue, cost, margin impacts, and marketing investment prioritization
- Apply product-variable, feature, and competitor insights to inform experience design and go-to-market optimization
- Monitor post-launch performance and assess impacts on profit and loss, customer experience, and risk posture
- Recommend course corrections based on performance results
- Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing acquisition, finance, analytics, risk, product delivery, technology, and operations
- Prepare executive-ready recommendations
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support in reviewing deliverables for less experienced analysts
- Follow applicable risk programs, policies, procedures, compliance obligations, escalation, and remediation requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of business analysis, strategy, product, marketing, finance, credit risk, or related analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field preferred
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, business analysis, and structured problem-solving skills
- Experience analyzing credit cards, consumer lending, payments, banking, fintech, or financial services portfolios
- Proven track record of career growth and advancement, including successful completion of rotational, analyst, or leadership development programs
- Experience with SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making
- Knowledge of customer acquisition, engagement, retention, portfolio management, credit risk, fraud, marketing analytics, or related cards business functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including developing business cases, presenting findings, telling data-driven stories, and influencing stakeholders
- Experience conducting customer, market, competitive, and portfolio analysis
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and business leaders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams and stakeholders
- Consulting, strategy, business transformation, or financial services analytics experience preferred
- Willingness to work on-site at one of the stated locations
