About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop Branch Managers across the district
  • Drive district performance across deposits, credit, and investments
  • Translate enterprise and regional strategy into branch-level priorities, routines, and expectations
  • Hold Branch Managers accountable for acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
  • Build leadership capability, identify high-potential talent, and maintain succession pipelines
  • Plan workforce needs and ensure branches have the appropriate staffing and leadership mix
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, Home Lending, Operations, and other support teams
  • Monitor customer feedback and resolve escalated concerns
  • Execute National Branch Network strategies across consumer, affluent, and small business banking
  • Manage risk, compliance, operational discipline, and ethical leadership
  • Use performance reporting and insights to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements
  • Travel regularly within the assigned geography, averaging 3–4 days per week depending on business priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Proven success leading and developing people leaders through in-person and virtual engagement
  • Experience coaching managers on performance, talent decisions, accountability, and sustained business outcomes
  • Ability to drive growth and execute business strategies across multiple locations
  • Strong analytical and business acumen
  • Experience using performance insights to identify trends, diagnose opportunities, and guide leaders to measurable improvement
  • Experience building effective partnerships across functions and levels in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to lead through change while maintaining focus on execution, customer outcomes, and risk management
  • Strong judgment, communication, and influence skills
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include Saturdays
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned geography, averaging 3–4 days per week
