About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the Credit Risk Lead for new business initiatives and lending growth strategies within Business Banking
  • Shape how the bank evaluates, launches, and scales business deposit and lending products
  • Assess credit risk impacts and develop risk strategies
  • Influence executive decisions
  • Partner across Product, Finance, Analytics, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Independent Risk Management
  • Advise experienced leadership on analysis, portfolio monitoring, oversight, insights, and decision strategies
  • Lead strategy and resolution of highly complex challenges using advanced analytics and performance monitoring
  • Extract data and provide statistical and financial modeling companywide
  • Deliver long-term, large-scale solutions requiring vision, innovation, coordination, and guidance to others
  • Provide leadership with direction and expertise on innovative, significant business solutions and companywide strategies
  • Engage with professionals and managers at all levels companywide
  • Support risk governance, monitoring, identification, escalation, remediation, and compliance obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 7+ years of experience in credit risk management, risk analytics, risk strategy development, or a related financial services discipline
  • Experience developing, evaluating, implementing, and monitoring credit risk strategies
  • Small business, commercial, or consumer lending or deposit risk experience
  • Experience supporting new product development, portfolio expansion, or customer growth initiatives
  • Knowledge of credit risk models, portfolio analytics, and credit decision strategies
  • Advanced analytics experience using SQL, SAS, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation and monitoring
  • Strong credit risk acumen, including understanding of portfolio performance, key risk drivers, and risk-return tradeoffs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable strategy recommendations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, strategic, and innovative thinking, and sound judgment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and partner effectively across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in a quantitative discipline is desired
