About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a complex credit portfolio of account relationships in Mid-Corporate Credit Execution within Middle Market Banking
  • Assist with financial modeling and projections, credit analysis, and industry or business risk analysis to support loan structuring decisions for Mid-Corporate companies
  • Support Senior Portfolio Managers in credit underwriting, accounting for risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment
  • Work with Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management, relationship managers, and credit approvers to originate, monitor, and grow Mid-Corporate relationships
  • Perform credit underwriting and origination, portfolio monitoring, renewals, and annual reviews
  • Manage and promote maintenance of a portfolio adhering to applicable credit policies and compliance requirements
  • Provide guidance to and assist with development of less experienced team members
  • Execute applicable Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, and Regulatory Compliance risk programs
  • Proactively monitor, identify, escalate, and remediate risk and compliance issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
  • Ability to perform in depth commercial financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets
  • Completion of a formal credit training program
  • Underwriting experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident manner
  • Experience with nCino
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Must adhere to applicable credit policies, compliance requirements, and Wells Fargo risk and compliance programs
  • Must directly represent your own experiences during the recruiting and hiring process
