About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively acquire new affluent consumer and business customers and deepen existing relationships through outreach, referrals, and appointments
- Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
- Serve as the primary financial partner, providing comprehensive multi-product guidance and ongoing reviews
- Own and actively grow a defined book of business using goals-based planning and prudent risk oversight
- Deliver integrated solutions across deposits, investments, credit, home lending, and business banking
- Partner with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking teams through warm introductions and opportunity conversion
- Champion digital adoption by educating customers on self-service and mobile banking
- Advise branch colleagues on relationship development and complex client needs
- Maintain accurate documentation, exercise sound judgment, escalate issues, and follow policies and regulations
- Open accounts, handle service requests, and support everyday banking needs
- Transition from the temporary license-pending role to Senior Branch Premier Banker (SAFE) after completing licensing and SAFE registration
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
- 3+ years of experience recommending products and services
- Experience recommending financial products and translating customer goals into clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience proactively sourcing, acquiring, and deepening relationships through outreach and internal partnerships
- Experience managing a book of business, documenting planning conversations, and driving retention and growth across deposits, lending, and investments
- Experience coaching or supporting peers
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, listen with empathy, and build credibility and trust
- Financial services industry experience in consumer, home lending, business banking, or investments
- 3+ years of experience in a licensed financial services position
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams, or FINRA-recognized equivalents, sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration
- State Insurance license(s), active or completed within a designated timeframe
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam required for FINRA qualification exams earned after September 30, 2018
- Series 65 or equivalent required within a specified period in applicable states
- Ability to work a schedule including most Saturdays
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Must meet enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
