About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs and microservices supporting the IPE platform
  • Build scalable backend services using modern development frameworks and engineering best practices
  • Develop reusable integration patterns for ServiceNow, observability platforms, knowledge repositories, databases and enterprise systems
  • Contribute to platform architecture, scalability, resiliency and performance improvements
  • Develop AI-powered workflows using enterprise LLM platforms, MCP integrations, vector search and agent orchestration frameworks
  • Build and enhance agent capabilities for incident triage, root cause analysis, automation recommendations and operational insights
  • Implement multi-agent orchestration, intelligent routing and workflow execution
  • Enhance AI governance, traceability, security controls and responsible AI implementation
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domains
  • Design, code, test, debug and document technology projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges
  • Lead a team to meet client needs and act as an escalation point
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges
  • Lead projects and provide guidance to less experienced staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise-scale applications and services
  • Strong programming experience in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies, containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing and DevOps practices
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within Agile development teams
  • Ability to participate in production support, incident analysis and operational readiness activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
