About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, code, implement, and report automation testing
- Improve automation coverage in the overall testing plan
- Perform manual and automated testing
- Document test cases and create test plans
- Record test progress and results
- Identify and track issues throughout testing
- Consult with users and provide advice and direction
- Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
- Drive innovation and streamline testing processes
- Research system features being tested
- Partner with Engineers to develop testing strategy
- Log, track, and verify resolution of software and specification defects
- Ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects and teams or mentor less experienced staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of Systems Quality Assurance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 4+ years as a test engineer or tester, with at least 3+ years automating functional testing and/or developing automated test suites
- Experience with Agile or product-driven environments
- Experience with Agile frameworks and tools including Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and related product management platforms
- Experience working directly with business issues, applications, and product owners
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and operational effectiveness through technology-enabled solutions
- Experience establishing scalable and repeatable processes that improve delivery execution, team effectiveness, and customer experience
- Experience using AI in functional and regression testing
- Foundational AI literacy and effective use of approved AI tools
- Sound judgment when interpreting and using AI-generated outputs
- Understanding of basic AI limitations and appropriate use cases
- Ethical and responsible use of AI aligned with company policies and guidelines
- Demonstrated success driving measurable operational improvements through workforce optimization technologies and process enhancements
- Must reside within a commutable distance of a posted work location
