About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, coach, and develop engineering teams and less experienced managers
- Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements for each release
- Collaborate with architects and experienced engineers on technical strategies and application migration paths
- Represent the product technically in cross-team collaboration and planning
- Identify and resolve technology roadblocks involving code, build, and deployment
- Manage the software development cycle and security standards
- Act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and teams, removing impediments and supporting continual improvement
- Build engineering skills alongside the team in the codebase
- Conduct peer reviews and guide solution design
- Ensure security, stability, and scalability while mitigating technology and enterprise risk
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners on user satisfaction, requirements, priorities, and product roadmaps
- Promote innovative solutions and advocate for agile and DevOps practices
- Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers
- Manage people and financial resources, career development, and performance management
- Hire, mentor, and guide direct reports and talent development
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of Leadership experience
- Proven track record of driving engineering excellence, modernizing environments, and delivering meaningful business outcomes
- Experience leading a network automation team
- Technical leadership across software engineering and network automation
- Experience with network automation platforms such as Nautobot highly valued
- Ability to manage, coach, and develop engineering teams and less experienced managers
- Knowledge of Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements
- Ability to work with technical strategies and next-generation domain architecture, including cloud readiness, application modernization, and data strategy
- Ability to address code, build, deployment, software development lifecycle, and security standards
- Knowledge of security, stability, scalability, technology risk, and enterprise risk management
- Agile and DevOps practices
- Ability to interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers
- No visa sponsorships or visa transfers available
