About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct Medicare Annual Wellness Visit screening questionnaires with patients by phone
- Make outbound calls to scheduled and eligible patients
- Document patient responses accurately in the EMR during calls
- Assist eligible patients with scheduling wellness screenings
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and clinic staff
- Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant documentation
- Handle a high volume of patient calls
- Meet productivity and quality expectations
- Complete most screening calls efficiently, generally within 20 minutes
- Participate in coaching and ask questions when unsure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Experience communicating directly with patients or customers
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Ability to listen, talk, and document simultaneously
- Familiarity with common medications, medical conditions, and healthcare terminology
- Comfortable learning and working in EMRs and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with the team
- Private, quiet workspace where patient conversations cannot be overheard
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Spanish/English bilingual skills strongly preferred, but not required
- Availability for 35–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
