About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as technical lead on small and medium projects from solution design to production release
  • Work in structured project teams on larger, cross-cutting projects
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and the account managing the client relationship
  • Design and build cloud-native data pipelines and platforms on GCP, Azure and AWS
  • Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines and efficient data integrations
  • Design and manage cloud infrastructure, including networking, IAM, services, monitoring and logging
  • Develop connectors and lightweight backend services in Python
  • Work on complex system integrations, data replication and synchronization
  • Build productized ETL platforms and AI-based services
  • Develop RAG systems, Copilot-style architectures, MCP servers and LLM API integrations
  • Explain and defend architectural choices
  • Work autonomously across data engineering, cloud engineering and software engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer or data engineer
  • Solid software engineering foundations and ability to design solutions, not only implement them
  • Experience with projects followed end-to-end, from design to release
  • Advanced SQL and data modelling
  • Experience building and running ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Good knowledge of data warehouses and transactional databases
  • Solid Python for data pipelines, connectors and lightweight backend services
  • Git, code review and collaborative development
  • Clean, testable and maintainable code
  • Use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar
  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluent Italian and professional working English
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (GCP, Azure or AWS) — nice to have
  • Experience designing and integrating AI services via API, including RAG systems, Copilot-style architectures and MCP servers — nice to have
  • MLOps experience — nice to have
  • Analytics engineering experience with marketing and advertising platforms — nice to have
  • Experience in startups or small tech companies — nice to have
