About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop responsive website pages, reusable components and custom WordPress plugins
- Implement product configuration, quotation request, customer workflow and partner workflow features
- Adapt Fluent Forms, FluentCart and other extensions to company workflows
- Develop REST API integrations with business systems
- Implement permissions, secure data processing and clear error handling
- Improve technical SEO/GEO and website performance
- Test updates and changes before release
- Resolve plugin conflicts and errors and maintain custom-code compatibility
- Establish practical routines for backups, recovery and monitoring key website functions
- Assess technical requirements for effort, value and maintainability
- Document key technical decisions and suggest improvements
- Agree priorities with marketing and management
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for the website
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager in Taiwan and the team in Germany
- Review and correct AI-assisted development output when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven professional experience developing WordPress websites
- Sufficient knowledge of PHP and JavaScript to develop and maintain custom plugins
- HTML, CSS, responsive implementation, WordPress hooks and filters
- Experience with REST APIs and databases
- Focus on secure, understandable and maintainable solutions
- Confident communication in English
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with FluentCart, Fluent Support, Polylang, Elementor, Kadence/Gutenberg or Bricks is helpful
- Knowledge of ERPNext/Frappe, Mautic, Linux, automated testing and technical B2B processes is an additional plus
- Ability to understand and review AI-assisted code and correct it independently
- Work authorization status in Taiwan must be provided
