About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, analyze, and investigate P&C insurance claims
- Determine claim validity and ensure accurate and fair settlements
- Examine policy coverage and gather evidence, including statements, reports, and documentation
- Interview claimants and witnesses
- Identify potential fraud or inconsistencies
- Handle low to moderate complexity Personal and Commercial Lines auto, general liability, and property damage claims
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims while delivering outstanding customer service
- Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys
- Manage active files, ensure accurate reserving, and maintain compliance with audit guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Associate in General Insurance and/or Associate in Claims designation
- Ability to adapt quickly and contribute across multiple functional areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results in fast-paced settings
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to take initiative in evolving business environments
- Experience handling auto and GL/PD claims is preferred
- Candidates located within 50 miles of the West Bend office for the hybrid schedule
