About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate and manage complex commercial trucking and transportation claims from initial loss through resolution
  • Evaluate liability, damages, coverage, and regulatory compliance issues involving commercial motor vehicles
  • Collaborate with insureds, drivers, attorneys, law enforcement, expert vendors, and repair facilities to determine claim exposure and negotiate settlements
  • Analyze accident reports, electronic logging data, driver records, and other evidence to support claim decisions
  • Handle high-severity and litigated trucking claims
  • Maintain strong customer service and cost containment practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience handling commercial trucking claims
  • Experience handling complex bodily injury claims
  • Strong investigation, coverage analysis, and liability assessment skills
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with attorneys and litigated claims
  • MCIEF, AIC, AINS, CPCU coursework, or other insurance education is a plus
