About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide day-to-day supervisory leadership for an assigned team of Underwriters
Ensure underwriting quality, consistency, and productivity
Coach Underwriting associates through file reviews, referral guidance, and ongoing performance feedback
Execute underwriting initiatives, process changes, and workflow updates
Monitor initiative adoption, effectiveness, and results
Review underwriting and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and development opportunities
Communicate insights and recommendations to leadership
Support learning and development of new Underwriting associates
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts
Serve as an escalation point for underwriting questions and complex referrals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience/knowledge sufficient to provide supervisory leadership for an assigned team of Underwriters
Ability to ensure underwriting quality, consistency, and productivity
Ability to coach associates, conduct file reviews, provide referral guidance, and deliver performance feedback
Ability to execute underwriting initiatives, process changes, and workflow updates
Ability to review underwriting and operational performance data and identify trends, risks, and development opportunities
Ability to support learning and development of new Underwriting associates
Ability to provide guidance on complex referrals consistent with established authority and guidelines
Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite per week out of the West Bend, Madison, or Appleton, WI offices
