About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with experienced hydrogeologists, engineers, and environmental scientists on groundwater-related projects and investigations
- Support technical work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Perform field monitoring, including recording well information and groundwater-level measurements
- Collect groundwater and surface water samples for laboratory analysis
- Develop maps, charts, and tables conveying decision-grade information
- Conduct research and analyze data
- Prepare and write routine reports
- Collect, quality-check, and upload groundwater and surface water quality and water-level data into databases
- Support stakeholder processes by attending Board and technical committee meetings, taking minutes, and preparing memos and presentations
- Communicate with project managers, clients, landowners, regulators, and other stakeholders
- Pursue continuous technical improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Entry level to 3 years of experience in water resources
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using ArcPro or QGIS
- Experience using programming languages to manipulate large data sets is preferred
- Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Master’s degree in environmental science, geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, engineering, or a related field preferred
- May require travel to other offices and/or client offices
