Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the recognized technical authority for GVS technologies, equipment, and methodologies
  • Define technical approaches and engineering strategies for complex projects and product development
  • Review, challenge, and validate engineering analyses, specifications, calculations, procedures, and technical reports
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical issues and root cause analyses
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans throughout the project life cycle
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineering, operations, and project management teams
  • Lead the development, qualification, and deployment of innovative technologies and tooling
  • Leverage operational lessons learned and customer feedback to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap and future product development initiatives
  • Promote standardization, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, including defining technical solutions, cost estimates, schedules, risk analyses, and execution strategies
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, audits, and presentations
  • Ensure that technical solutions meet contractual requirements, customer expectations, and company objectives
  • Support project teams in resolving technical issues affecting cost, quality, schedule, or performance
  • Mentor and develop less experienced engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, process engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline
  • More than 10 years of experience in engineering design, qualification, equipment development, or maintenance technologies
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Expertise in problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and make technical decisions
  • Proficiency in technical report writing, specification development, and document management
  • Proficiency in product life-cycle management and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Technical leadership and the ability to influence without direct managerial authority
  • Excellent decision-making skills and engineering judgment
  • Strategic vision and the ability to develop a long-term technology roadmap
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
