About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage welding, machining, and large component replacement projects during nuclear power and fossil plant outages
  • Manage project results and processes for high-complexity projects or portfolios of medium- to high-complexity projects
  • Establish a collaborative culture with large cross-functional teams, including Project Controls, Quality, Engineering, and other Project Managers
  • Oversee and provide input to cost estimates and proposals for nuclear power sector projects
  • Support customer negotiations and advocate for Westinghouse value-added opportunities and solutions at customer sites
  • Complete project planning processes, including project management plans, procedures, schedules, challenge meetings, cost baselines and projections, financial reporting, invoicing, risk registers, and partner registers
  • Report to the Manager Field Service Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent non-degreed technical experience in an industrial environment
  • 5 years of Project Management experience may be considered equivalent
  • 3 years of Project Management or supervisory experience in field service, nuclear or fossil power plants, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), or oil/gas may be considered equivalent
  • 6-10+ years of applicable Project Management experience preferred
  • Experience in nuclear power plant maintenance and large component replacements preferred
  • Experience working with union represented craft workforce welding and machining preferred
  • Experience leading field-based projects, particularly at nuclear plants during outages
  • Experience working in accordance with Safety and Non-Safety Related Quality Programs and ASME codes
  • Experience with various types of NDE, manual and automated welding, and Electronic Discharge Machining (EDM)
  • Ability to meet applicable United States and export-control requirements
