About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead surveillance of supplier manufacturing operations to assess conformity with contractual requirements
  • Ensure suppliers implement nuclear safety culture
  • Identify and report deviations from contractual requirements
  • Witness manufacturing activities including welding, non-destructive examination, dimensional control and destructive testing
  • Raise deviations using the dedicated template
  • Issue reports after each surveillance activity
  • Review End of Manufacturing Reports
  • Issue quality release before equipment shipment
  • Perform unscheduled oversight based on supplier lessons learned and weaknesses
  • Support supply chain and project team requests by providing information on significant supplier-facility events
  • Support the SQO team as a backup during parallel activities or vacations
  • Review final documentation and issue quality release at the end of manufacturing
  • Report to the Manager, Supplier Quality EMEA

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as manufacturing inspector/surveillance engineer in the nuclear industry
  • Certification in NDE or welding is preferred, such as NF EN ISO 9712, CWI or similar
  • Strong knowledge of NDE, especially UT and RT, and welding activities
  • Knowledge of nuclear construction code/regulation, including RCC-M, ASME and ESPN
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment
  • Willing to travel often, between 50 to 75%
