About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the GVP Product Manager based in Villejust, within the GVP product group
  • Design, develop, qualify, and continuously improve tooling for eddy-current inspection and maintenance operations on steam generators
  • Develop a remote alarm solution to monitor the vacuum conditions of steam generator airlocks
  • Review customer specifications and gather operational requirements from stakeholders
  • Define the technical specifications and design mechanical interface components
  • Draft specifications, procure equipment, and build a prototype
  • Conduct laboratory tests; prepare the test report, the procurement specification for the industrial solution, and the user manual
  • Develop a solution for removing foreign objects from a steam generator tube blocked by blowing and suction
  • Prepare a risk analysis, define the technical specifications and design the tool, procure a prototype, and conduct validation testing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a general engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical engineering, in the third year of the engineering program
  • A good level of English is preferred in order to collaborate and develop within our internationally present group
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a strong team spirit
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at different levels
  • Internship duration: minimum 6 months
  • Candidates must be able to meet comparable French and U.S. export control requirements, where applicable
