About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform all project controls activities for moderate- to high-complexity projects, a portfolio of low-complexity projects, or a subset of high-complexity program scope
Lead teams through all phases of a moderate-complexity project
Serve as a project controls subject matter expert focused on project scheduling
Coordinate required tasks and deadlines and escalate issues to appropriate management
Initiate and plan project controls, including project baselines and risk registers
Apply planning tools and techniques to reduce inefficiencies and optimize project performance
Apply schedule, cost and risk analytics to validate plans
Lead schedule, cost and risk activities and communicate project or contract requirements to departments
Process changes through an integrated change control process
Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope
Maintain and distribute project metrics to communicate project status
Develop or oversee project databases and procedures for project correspondence and documentation
Communicate improvement opportunities, lessons learned and risk avoidance
Integrate project goals and actions with other project groups
Identify, assess and implement value-added improvement opportunities
Create and administer lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle
Report to the Program Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline
6-12 years project controls/scheduling experience in the position functional/technical area
Advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness and leadership
Primavera scheduling experience required
Experience setting up the structure and process for a 5-year project in P6
Ability to work with the project team to load work scope and maintain schedule quality
Ability to meet applicable United States and company export control requirements
