About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the design of assigned transmission generation tie lines for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage projects
- Manage stand-alone transmission line projects from conception through construction and commissioning
- Work within the Engineering & Construction Group
- Direct engineering consultants performing line design
- Define and influence project requirements and scope with the Development Group
- Secure engineering consulting resources by developing scopes of work, securing bids, evaluating proposals, and awarding work through the Integrated Supply Chain Group
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to develop and secure transmission routes
- Support engineering data and permits required to design and build transmission lines
- Source, select, and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services
- Support the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of High Voltage Transmission line projects
- Technical competence to understand one-line and three-line diagrams, general arrangements, plan and profiles, and other common deliverables
- Travel required within North America
- Ability to work under United States and applicable export control regulations
