About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide full district leadership on temporary or interim assignments, including vacancies, leaves of absence, and leadership transitions
  • Support and execute the Regional Director of Operations' vision in assigned districts
  • Assess stores, teams, KPIs, and market conditions and create prioritized action plans
  • Maintain or improve revenue, occupancy, profitability, and other company KPIs
  • Stabilize and support underperforming districts or stores
  • Support onboarding and lease-up of acquired, converted, and newly opened facilities
  • Provide transition reports covering store status, team assessments, KPI trends, and open action items
  • Identify high-potential Property Managers and Assistant Managers for development and advancement
  • Develop and execute strategies for district revenue, occupancy, and profitability goals
  • Identify opportunities to drive growth and efficiency across locations
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive district culture and ensure effective communication
  • Manage unusual events and keep district operations to standard
  • Coordinate facility conversions, openings, and other special projects
  • Review store environments and business indicators, identify issues and opportunities, and coach store employees
  • Conduct competitor property visits
  • Oversee store financial performance and monitor KPIs
  • Implement corrective actions to achieve financial and operational objectives
  • Solicit customer feedback and follow up on customer service issues
  • Monitor controllable expenses and maximize store ROI
  • Analyze financial reports and address district performance trends
  • Perform monthly site audits and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Coach store managers on repairs and maintenance and ensure use of the company maintenance program
  • Supervise employees; interview and hire site managers

  • Support recruitment, retention, and development of store management teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Equivalent of 3-5 years of work-related experience and/or training in retail sales, retail, customer service, sales management, and/or multi-unit management
  • Prior district-level or multi-unit leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience supervising others
  • Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation required
  • Weekend availability may occasionally be required
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time and accept assignments in different districts on short notice
  • Temporary relocation or extended stays away from home may be required
  • Eagerness and work ethic to succeed in a customer service environment
  • General office and telephone skills

  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composure in a multi-location supervisory role
