About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, refine, and maintain financial models to underwrite new acquisition opportunities
Support due diligence through analysis, modeling, and organization of key materials
Assist with investment memoranda and analytical materials for internal and external stakeholders
Perform market research, competitive analyses, demand studies, and budgeting for new self-storage projects
Develop understanding of properties, markets, and deal structures to support decision-making
Support asset management activities following close
Produce ad hoc reports and analysis for the home office and various departments
Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, accelerate research, and improve deliverables
Use AI to draft investment memos, summarize due diligence materials, and synthesize large data sets
Identify and implement AI-powered workflows across underwriting, reporting, and asset management
Work closely with the CIO, CFO, and acquisitions team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field
0–2 years of experience in real estate underwriting, investment analysis, banking, private equity, or a similar analytical role
Strong foundation in cash flow analysis, valuation, and financial modeling
High proficiency in Excel
Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve work product and efficiency
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights
Comfortable working independently across flexible environments (office, home, etc.)
