About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the liaison between the business and supply chain teams; analyze requirements, identify and recommend sourcing solutions, and plan procurement processes to supply the facility.
- Prepare requests for quotation, analyze specifications, and lead and close supplier negotiations, seeking the best possible commercial terms.
- Manage CAPEX procurement processes and/or meet requirements arising from plant-wide shutdowns, with support from the immediate supervisor.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered within the agreed deadlines.
- Support the commercial development of new suppliers based on business needs and market conditions.
- Support cost-reduction projects for the facility.
- Provide support in analyzing the financial impacts of purchases.
- Advise requesters on the application of procurement policies and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Manage the demand portfolio in line with the levels established in the department's KPIs.
- Comply with company policies, training requirements, procedures, and standards related to the company, work processes, and management systems.
- Perform other related activities as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, with an emphasis on Excel).
- Basic knowledge of negotiation techniques and bid/evaluation equalization processes.
- Basic knowledge of supplier commercial development and qualification.
- Basic knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., SWOT and Pareto analysis).
