About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in security consulting on small projects for internal clients to ensure alignment with corporate information security policy and standards
  • Track or remediate vulnerabilities and security issues
  • Review and correlate security logs
  • Assist with design, documentation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
  • Provide technical support for security-related issues
  • Implement information security components including availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification and modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interface with more experienced technologists
  • Use AI-assisted development and analysis tools such as GitHub Copilot and approved code-centric agents
  • Leverage AI to accelerate system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Validate and integrate AI-assisted outputs using strong technical judgment
  • Account for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerations
  • Apply AI responsibly in development and production environments
  • Ensure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 1+ years of Incident Response Protocols and Tools experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) products
  • 1+ years of Azure, Office 365, or cloud technologies
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
  • Desired: 2+ years of experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) products
  • Desired knowledge of security analytics, incident response, digital forensics, data security controls, banking or financial services, host/network log analysis, threat hunting, offensive security, and Identity Access Management
  • Desired certifications including GIAC, OSCP, OSWP, OSCE, OSEE, or OSWE
  • Desired cloud certifications such as GCP or AWS
  • Desired experience in a 24 x 7 x 365 global security operations center environment
