About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop on the ServiceNow platform using configuration and scripting
  • Collaborate with lead engineers and architects to define coding standards, processes, tooling, and frameworks
  • Design, code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with standards and best practices
  • Define and prioritize technical stories in the product backlog
  • Own application solution quality from design and implementation through deployment and operations
  • Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders during feature delivery
  • Maintain technical understanding of third-party and cloud solutions
  • Evaluate technical impacts and coordinate implementation of new product releases
  • Participate in agile sizing and estimation activities
  • Communicate daily with the Scrum Master, Technical Product Owner, and Agile team regarding progress, plans, and blockers
  • Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives
  • Ensure feature quality through manual and automated testing and continuous integration techniques
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and define technically deliverable requirements
  • Help develop companywide engineering standards and best practices for complex, large-scale technology solutions
  • Use AI-assisted development and analysis tools, including GitHub Copilot and approved code-centric agents
  • Leverage AI for system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Validate and integrate AI-assisted outputs while accounting for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerations
  • Apply AI responsibly in development and production in alignment with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 4+ years of ServiceNow experience
  • 2+ years of Integration design and API experience
  • 2+ years ServiceNow Change, Release, Incident, Problem, and Service Level Management application experience
  • 2+ years of JavaScript development experience
  • 2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • Advanced oral, written and presentation communications, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • ServiceNow CSA Certified Systems Administrator and CAD Certified Application Developer certifications
  • 4+ years of Agile experience
  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
