About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120) under supervision
  • Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger work under supervision
  • Perform assigned attest fieldwork under supervision
  • Produce organized, tied-out workpapers ready for review, with open items clearly flagged
  • Compile and organize source documents and supporting schedules
  • Perform basic technical research and bring proposed answers to the team
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and request missing items
  • Track and report time accurately and understand assignment time budgets
  • Maintain work files and follow firm processes and procedures
  • Work on client engagements across tax, accounting, and attest
  • Report to a Manager with day-to-day direction from a Senior Associate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax, or a related field
  • 1 to 2 years of experience; internship experience is a plus
  • CPA eligible or actively pursuing licensure
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and basic tax concepts
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to learn the firm's tax, accounting, and operational technology
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
