About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support commissioning planning by preparing, organizing and maintaining commissioning packets
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, field layouts, commissioning documentation and site information
  • Perform DCS and instrument verifications, control-room checks, field confirmations and start-up readiness checks
  • Inspect incoming membrane cartridges and prepare them for installation
  • Complete in-field quality-control walkdowns and track corrective actions
  • Confirm field conditions, control-room indications and system shutdown logic during commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Lead on-site cartridge installation activities
  • Train customers and plant personnel on installation, system operation, routine maintenance, safety procedures and troubleshooting
  • Build working relationships with plant staff and operators
  • Ensure adherence to Whitefox and plant safety standards
  • Maintain service reports, field records, site updates and customer-support master-file information
  • Perform sampling according to approved procedures
  • Troubleshoot routine field issues and escalate technical concerns to the Account Engineer
  • Monitor plant changes and flag potential impacts to the Account Engineer
  • Support process trials for improved operations onsite
  • Improve training, tools, materials and procedures based on field realities
  • Participate in project-execution meetings and provide updates on site readiness and commissioning progress
  • Represent Whitefox at industry conferences, customer sites and vendor interactions
  • Track spare-parts needs and support parts availability
  • Participate in hazard training, site hazard assessments, process safety reviews and incident reporting
  • Maintain continuous development through goals, cross-training and ongoing learning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical diploma or degree in a process, mechanical, instrumentation or chemical discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent operating-plant experience
  • 3+ years in an operating industrial plant or in field service
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, field layouts, commissioning packs and site information
  • Understanding of equipment, process inputs and outputs, control loops, instrumentation, utilities and operating requirements
  • Comfortable providing training to technical and non-technical audiences on plant process operations
  • Familiarity with ethanol production is a plus
  • Commitment to health and safety and safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively with process design, detailed engineering, operations and project teams
  • Ability to work independently across geographically dispersed customer sites and internal teams
  • Ability to protect client and company intellectual property and confidential information
  • Ability to represent Whitefox values, professional standards and safety culture
  • Ability to travel within the USA up to 50%
  • Flexibility to occasionally provide weekend or night coverage as needed
