About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Remote Operations Centre team across mine control, plant control, and critical systems monitoring
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations
- Coordinate with site-based Mining, Processing, Logistics, Maintenance, and Technical teams
- Oversee day-to-day coordination and performance of the ROC crew
- Plan shifts and allocate tasks
- Monitor production and resolve production and safety issues
- Monitor production performance and trends, identify risks, and minimise downtime, waste, and delays
- Own delay capture and production accounting
- Apply a structured, risk-based approach to problem solving
- Drive continuous improvement and support system optimisation
- Implement smarter ways of working
- Contribute to Remote Operations Centre budget planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within a mining production, CHPP, or mineral processing environment
- Relevant qualifications including RIIRIS301 / RIIWHS301 / RIICOM301 (formerly S1, S2, S3) and RIIRIS402 (formerly G2)
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for technology, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Ability to thrive in high pressure environments and manage competing priorities
- Ability to engage multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated success leading, motivating, and developing teams
- Experience implementing strategies that foster a positive and high performance culture
- Ability to work a rotating day and night roster
