About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and ship full-stack features using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
Take features from requirements through design, implementation, testing, and release
Write and maintain SQL queries, schema changes, and Oracle database logic
Build REST APIs and integrate with messaging systems using JMS
Maintain and extend GitLab and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
Fix broken builds and deployment issues
Use SonarQube to identify and resolve code-quality, security, and maintainability issues
Write automated tests and review other engineers' code
Estimate work, flag delivery risks, and communicate progress to product owners, QA, business analysts, and operations
Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 4 years of commercial full-stack software development experience
Production experience with Java 17 or 21 and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with Hibernate, SQL against Oracle, JMS, and REST API design
Production experience with Angular (version 20 or a recent major version) and Jest
Experience configuring or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and Jenkins
Experience using SonarQube or equivalent static analysis
Ability to provide concrete examples of effort estimation, delivery risks, and stakeholder communication
Fluent written and spoken English
Comfortable working directly with product, QA, UX, and business analysts
Must be able to write and troubleshoot both Angular frontend code and Java/Spring Boot backend code
Must have personally owned a real production incident, query, or feature end to end
