About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess environmental risk and recommend appropriate courses of action
  • Participate in or handle implementation of approved environmental risk actions, including regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate environmental planning, scheduling and cost estimating for operational area or business development/project support
  • Prepare and submit applications for environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances and other authorizations
  • Develop and maintain documentation for air, water, waste, SPCC and hazardous materials compliance programs
  • Develop, maintain and provide guidance on environmental processes and policies
  • Conduct required environmental training
  • Participate in environmental project planning and implementation
  • Prepare environmental impact assessments and reports
  • Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations
  • Improve systems and practices for air, water, waste management and/or remediation
  • Prepare compliance reports and certifications
  • Cultivate relationships with regulatory agencies
  • Interpret federal, state and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance
  • Assist senior environmental specialists with reports, plans and inventories
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum four (4) years’ environmental experience
  • Functional and technical expertise in air, water and/or waste
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
