About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform complex maintenance and operational tasks on natural gas process-related equipment and systems
Minimize unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and corrective actions
Partner with supervisors and managers to share findings, root causes, and resolutions focused on improved safety
Fix and maintain process control systems
Partner with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects
Mentor teammates
Solve sophisticated problems efficiently
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry
Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum five (5) years' experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises, and in enclosed spaces
Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE
Ability to use hand tools
Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays
May be required to work overtime, 10–12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
Aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
Previous experience with gas-plant operations, gas compression, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
Previous experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry
Safety as the utmost priority
